Apocalypse (Japanese edition)

Apocalypse is the French remake of Saika Banrai, a hit from Tokyo Game Market Autumn 2023, and this is its Japanese edition. It is the first localized title from Smart Ape Games.

Cards are played must-follow. Every time a knight card is played, the token of that suit flips to its black side. The highest number of the led suit wins the trick, but the winner takes back only the card they played, and its number counts as penalty points.

The trick in which the last token flips is the apocalypse: the lowest number of the led suit wins instead and takes every card played, and all tokens flip back to their colored side. After three rounds, the player with the fewest penalty points wins.

Crowdfunding runs on Bodofun from November 27 to December 25, 2026, together with BANANOVA, with shipping planned for April 2027.
